Kandy, July 16 (Daily Mirror)- In the wake of a statement by State Minister Lohan Ratwatte, NPP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake said today that he would like to see State Minister Lohan Ratwatte living at the time of the NPP's victory.
He told an NPP rally in Kandy that everyone is not equal before the law in Sri Lanka as stated in law and said if that was the case, Lohan Ratwatte cannot be at large.
"Lohan said recently in Kandy that he will not allow us to win as long as he is alive. I am happy to see him alive to witness our victory. We must prove that everyone is equal before the law. Lohan is the best example for that," he said.
Dissanayake said everyone is not equal before the law in Sri Lanka and added that is why someone who had entered the Anuradhapura prison with a pistol at midnight while drunk and had frightened the prisoners could still be free.
