Arjuna, Upali leave SLC premises following court order

COLOMBO (Daily Mirror) - In response to the interim order by the Court of Appeal, which suspended the operation of Sri Lanka Cricket's Interim Committee, Arjuna Ranathunga, the appointed Chairman of the Committee and Upali Dharmadasa, a committee member, were seen leaving the SLC premises.

The Court of Appeal issued this interim order also suspending the operation of the gazette notification related to the SLC Interim Committee appointed by the Sports Minister.

Minister has the authority here to appoint a temporary. This is the problem with legal system. Any idot can go and ask for an order and just temporary suspends. Without a complete system change in SL we cannot move forward. Specially the legal system need a complete overhaul soon or we may see worse than aragalaya type uprising soon.

You are spot on. But the main issue is not the inadequacy or shortcomings in any laws but the enforcement of them. We all know the judiciary is also severely corrupt. How to change that? The population seems to have accepted corruption as a way of life or heritage so even chages in anything will not yield a different outcome. As per Darwins Theory over a period of time through evaluation the corruption had got ingrained in SLn genes. How to reverse it?
