Avant Garde Captain Gennady Garvlov (40), remanded on charges of possessing and transporting illegal weapons was yesterday re-remanded till October 14 by Galle Chief Magistrate Nilupuli Lankapura.

The vessel was taken into custody by the Sri Lanka Navy on October 13 last year after it was found carrying a stock of firearms and explosives in the seas off Galle. (D.G. Sugathapala)
