BOI signs agreement for US $ 9.3mn hotel project in Ella

The town of Ella in Sri Lanka is set to witness a new development in tourism infrastructure, as the Board of Investment (BOI) has signed an agreement with the local company Nature First Resort & Spa Limited to build a new hotel in the tourist region.

According to the BOI’s statement on X, the project involves a total investment of US $ 9.315 million and will feature 36 rooms.

The agreement was exchanged this week between BOI Chairman Dinesh Weerakkody and the officials from Nature First Resort & Spa Limited, on the BOI premises.

Ranked among the top tourist destinations in Sri Lanka, the Ella town, often referred to as ‘Little England,’ is highly regarded for attractions like Ella Rock, Little Adam’s Peak, Nine Arches Bridge and Ravana Falls. (NR)

GCEC / BOI was formed to get more foreign exchange from Foreign Businessmen with / without local collaboration. One of the previous Presidents, sent retired administrative personnel to each and every companies to check whether the company was there, machinery, man power are there, proper salaries are paid and also checked whether the correct inward remittance were coming according to the export documents etc.
