Basil returns
Former Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa returned to the country this morning to a grand welcome at the BIA.
Rajapaksa left for the US in September to receive medical treatment, after the Supreme Court allowed him to travel overseas.
A number of SLPP members including Parliamentarians were at the BIA to welcome the former minister on his arrival.(T.K.G. Kapila)

@max from your comments it is patently clear that you are one of the lackeys of the Rajapakse regime who have ruined the livelihoods of the public from all walks of life. Today everyone is facing hardships merely because of these rogues who have manipulated not only the Public purse but have been incompetent duds in handling the economy and putting the blame on the public. It seems you are a member of the Deaf, Dumb and Blind Association otherwise how can you justify the public suffering in queues for petrol, gas, kerosene and other essentials including medicines etc. added to that a runaway inflation. How come that the Sugar Scam, coconut oil scam and other nefarious activities like deleting the inventory of medicines were swept under the carpet. Only I can say by supporting these devilish manipulations of these scums will lead this country going into an abyss with no return. Sad for the future generation who still do not know the impact on their lives.
