The once popular BlackBerry era comes to an end today with the company having taken a call to stop supporting phones running on the BB OS.

The Canadian company announced towards the latter part of 2021 that BlackBerry phones running on BB 7.1 OS and BB 10 software will no longer get the legacy services after January 4, 2022.

Owners of the phone will no longer be able use even basic services such as calling, texting, and also the 911 functionality.
