Kandy, July 2 (Daily Mirror) - All scheduled court proceedings and delivery of verdicts at the Kandy Court complex have been postponed due to a bomb scare. 

A tense situation was reported this morning at the Court complex following an anonymous call to the police emergency hotline (119) reporting a bomb threat.

Following the call, the bomb disposal unit of the Sri Lanka Army, in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Police,  initiated a comprehensive security operation within the court premises.

Accordingly, all the cases that were scheduled to be heard and the delivering of verdicts fixed for today have been postponed till July 16.
