Private bus operators have called off their strike last night after President Maithripala Sirisena agreed to meet them to discuss their demands, private bus trade unions confirmed.

Aiyooo Why this...Please Mr. President let them strike. They can strike only for two three days after that they will come to road like a dogs… if they strike more than three days how can they pay leasing of the bus.Other thing is trishaw driver they can strike only for one day if they strike more than two days, wife will chase them to road like dog. People can strike only for price hike of food and taxes .. but cant strike for law which is put for people safety.

Whatever you discuss, please do not give in to their holding the nation a hostage to avoid correcting their behaviour on the roads. We, the people, are suffering for too much compromise with what is right for Sri Lanka.

Its not that 'demands are met' its that their stomach was demanding that they go back to work. Ahouls have let them atrike for a few more days. As for 3 wheelers. Stop them totally.

Yesterday's private bus strike proved that the SLTB has capability to serve the people. It is time the import of lunary vehicles for ministers and MPs is stopped and the SLTB and the railway improved. Better and capable people should head the SLTB and the SLR. The present ones are all "Pathola". The finance minister?

We have tons of ministers paid and maintained by the tax payers but the President has to step into every issue. Either the ministers are incompetent or The President is clueless about his role or both.
