Bus transporting ballot boxes involved in accident

Colombo, November 13 (Daily Mirror) - A bus carrying ballot boxes from Southlands College, Galle to polling stations collided with a car today.

Police intervened and arranged for the ballot boxes from the bus that met with the accident to be transferred to another vehicle for continued transport.

The accident has violated some election law, which needs to be immediately looked at and an impartial investigation should be carried out. Hopefully, accidents will be banned in the future.

Transporting in a private car is a bit tricky could be a plan accident to load the box with Ballot papers.

the ballot boxes must be stuffed with NPP votes. 88/89 era they had the experience and may even tell those who vote will be shot by GALKATAS!

Whether they stuff the boxes or not, NPP is sure to win big time! The opposition candidates are not the same caliber as the revamped NPP team of candidates. So, just accept them graciously and all need to support and work together.

Have the people of Sri Lanka come to a stage that even a natural normal accident becomes a cause for anyone to think of the worst that such accident has had ulterior motive to do some skullduggery. In another country this would not even have be newsworthy.

Some of these drivers who drive vehicles related to the election are a law unto themselves. They should be taught that no matter what they are driving, they should strictly obey all road rules. Most of them display their headlights when transporting the ballot boxes and think that the roads belong to them.
