CBK obtains enjoining order against Maithripala on SLFP Chairmanship

Colombo, April 4 (Daily Mirror) - The Colombo District Court today issued an enjoining order preventing former President Maithripala Sirisena from functioning as the chairman of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP).

Colombo District Court Judge Sandun Vithana made this order pursuant to a lawsuit filed by former President Chandrika Kumaratunga.

The unfortunate issue of all this is with people. We have 69% idiots in this nation. We brag about high literacy of 98%, but truth is literacy is ability to read and write but not having knowledge and logical thinking. India has lower literacy than Sri Lanka but their population have higher levels of analysis and ability to be rational. We have elected leaders to Parliament who are simply confidence tricksters and if they ever get any other job it will be as three wheel drivers or plucking coconuts or cleaning drains.

Any politician who couldn't earn a cent for this country shouldn't be in parliament or be able to hold any government post again in his lifetime. Those who failed, also should be made to foot the bill. Like lease, others should guarantee these politicians, get their assets frozen when this fellow fails or absconds. May sound like crazy ideas but try implementing these for one term for start
