CPC, LIOC, Sinopec advised to provide continous fuel supply

Colombo, Dec. 23 (Daily Mirror) - The power and Energy Ministry advised the Ceylon Petroleum Coporation (CPC), Lanka IOC and China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (Sinopec) to provide a continuous supply of fuel during the festive season.

Moreover, Minister Kanchana Wijesekera informed all filling stations to maintain their fuel stocks at 50 percent at all times.

IT seems the Election Fever is threatening the nation and the Govt. in power is doing what is necessary to ensure the normal life of citizens. Sri Lankan are no fools to be moved by rhetoric. They used their power before, and they will vote wisely again. Let us see the lesson they teach.

You can give advice but not an order, so it's completely pointless. It would be better if hospitals maintained their medication stocks at 50 percent at all times.

Hope other ministries handling consumer items will issue similar instructions to the islandwide commercial establishments who are quick to hide stocks in hand at the smell of a price increase
