Colombo, Nov 26 (Daily Mirror) - The Cabinet has approved the purchase of four shipments of diesel (0.05%, M.S) for six months, from December 15, 2024, to June 14, 2025.

Bids were invited from registered suppliers of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation to procure the diesel shipments during this period. A total of six bidders submitted proposals.

Following an evaluation of the bids and the recommendations of a Special Standing Procurement Committee appointed by the Cabinet, the Cabinet of Ministers has approved the proposal presented by the Minister of Power and Energy to award the procurement contract to BB Energy (Asia) (Pvt) Ltd.
