Canadian High Commissioner meets Anura Dissanayake

Colombo, March 13 (Daily Mirror)- Canadian High Commissioner Eric Walsh met National People's Power (NPP) leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake at the JVP Headquaters today where they discussed the economic and politcal situation in Sri Lanka.

Second Secretary (Political) Patrick Pickering and NPP MP Vijitha Herath also joined the meeting.

The dicussion focused on matters related to the current social, economic and political situation in Sri Lanka.

They also discussed the NPP's plans towards upholding national harmony.

The Canadian High Commissioner congratulated Dissanayake on his upcoming visit to Canada to meet the Sri Lankan community there.

He would be the next SriLankan president, mainly due to Sri Lankan voters have been cursing recent rulers, who are proven, plunderers of state coffers or bank robbers who stole central bank of the country turning country to the level of paupers island,and the country as a another bankrupt shameful nation, it’s very sensible, first world countries such as Canada coming forward to identify the next leader of SriLanka, a person with a vision,and hopefully would guide the country to success, with help of other developed countries

Any diplomat would visit a party leader, trade unionist or a religious leader if invited. It is their job to get to know people in their host countries. Otherwise those diplomats do not have a thing to do. This may be a novel thing for the JVP.
