Colombo, June 3 (Daily Mirror) - The maximum retail price of a 50 kg bag of cement has been reduced by Rs. 150 with effect from June 1, a cement company said.

Accordingly, the maximum retail price will be Rs 2,250 per 50kg bag.

Why cement price in Sri Lanka almost double compare to other countries, something really wrong.... this negatively impact to the whole society in SL.........our salaries are very low, however all the other basic necessary things require to satisfactory lifestyle are sky rocket high, when this black market style going to end, without this SL economy couldn't able come out this crisis who ever come to power............

Still expensive than India. In India it's INR355 , abot Rs 1200. So it is almost double in SL.....
