Colombo, Jan 29 (Daily Mirror) - Renowned vocalist Chamara Weerasinghe, who was receiving treatment at the Colombo South Teaching Hospital has recovered and been discharged from the hospital.
Weerasinghe spent close to 40 days under medical care, initially having been admitted to the Kalubowila Hospital due to respiratory issues last month.
Sources from the hospital said that he underwent two surgeries, addressing complications in both the throat and abdomen.
Despite his recovery, doctors have advised Weerasinghe should continue to rest even though he has recovered.
