Do not rely on others to provide you with material things—work hard and earn them yourself. It is always better if we come together, unite, and strive for our goals through collective effort. If necessary, let the goods be produced in factories in the North and East of the country. After all, the North and East are an integral part of Sri Lanka, and by supporting these regions, we contribute to the prosperity of the entire nation. Together, we can build a stronger and more self-reliant future.

These Chinese dictatorial crooks can shove their textiles, produced with the help of forced or underpaid labour, to where the sun never shines. With these ‘gifts’ they want to lure Sri Lanka into a free trade agreement and persuade Sri Lanka to join the New Silk Road project, both of which would cause great damage to Sri Lanka's economy.
