All these will drag Sri Lanka into further crisis which people like you deserve. Be thankful to expat workers for the dollars to pay for your Toilet paper. You can protest, oppose everything and anything and eat and drink thanks to those expat workers. Because you yourself do not earn and but also no allow anyone else to earn too.

What has the AG done to deserve an extension? Good the CC stood by its stance. RW thinks he can dance with the Rajapakshes

Its Ranil's yahapalanaya which enacted the constitutional council. This really works most of the time. Sanjay is not irreplaceable. Let the most suitable next person to do the job.

It appears that the speaker has strengthened his spine not bowing to pressure from RW. Speaker does not want to go for another NCM in the parliament.

What spine he has? He got his brother appointed as a Governor....and got postings in the overseas missions for his other siblings......Now he has to serve his master faithfully....hic...hic...

At last we see an independent Constitutional Council where the Speaker does not have to vote Cheers

Yes a good move by the CC . His extension is RW's survival.
All these extensions are his way of buying time so he can screw us the people.

The constitutional council is there to stand firm from all adversities for the benefit of our country . If it fails the country will be poorer and even fall apart.

Well said, Constitutional Council. There is no point in extending the service of the worst AG SL has ever seen.

Terrence K Wednesday, 19 June 2024 08:18 AM
Extensions of services are superflous as we have quality personnel down the line who are there to take over this role who are impartial and brave not to bend their backs to power hungry politicians who manipulate them by offering them extra benefits for the dirty work according to their whims and fancies!!!!!!

Ranil will appoint a 'SELECT COMMITTEE' to look into the decision of the Constitutional Council. He will distribute letter of appointments to UNP zonal leaders, he will address meetings here, there and every where lecturing on climate, environment, Asian region, trade, AI, robotics, galaxy, residence on Moon and Mars. In the meantime the external debt keeps mounting with no idea of settlement. TAX THE PEOPLE!

Ranil Wickramasinghe learnt a bitter lesson now, tying to work out crookered ideas for his existence but it is not the plan of God. Poor man Sanjay Rajaratnam spoilt his reputation because of cunning Ranil.

Hats off to the C.C. a bold and wiser decision taken, Hail to the Judiciary. Pray that the C.C. stands firm on it's bold decision. Save the Nation.

I think it’s more respectful to AG Sanjay’s R go on retirement as scheduled without letting himself scapegoat for fulfilling RW’s selfish crafty requirements
