Court refuses bail to Danushka
Cricketer Danushka Gunathilaka who appeared by video link in handcuffs at a Sydney court today, has been refused bail & will remain in custody, media reports said.
Accordingly, the cricketer will be held in a correction centre.

@Lawyer I agree to an extent. He may be having many issues and controversies. But it does not mean the man is guilty of rape. Let the facts come out. Any woman can bring this claim against a man which is what happend with the #meetoo movement. Many men were brought to disrepute and their careers ended because of false accusations by unscrupulous women who wanted to make money through victim's compensation. No one knows what transpired in her home between the two of them. It is he said/she said and is only assumptions and rumors about at this stage. So let the truth come to light and know that if you are a man this could have been you in this position of being accused by a woman and if you are a woman know that you could have a male loved one in this situation being accused for something he did not do. Be quick to hear and slow to speak.

He has got away from the same offence in Sri Lanka. This is Australia. Furthermore even if it's a prostitute you cannot rough them up and have sex to fulfill your fantasies against her wishes. In this case she only wanted safe sex which he refused and forcibly had sex with her using force. This is acceptable at all. With his history of sexual violence unless a agreement is made with the woman, very sorry for him.
