DMT Deputy Commissioner, clerk arrested for soliciting bribe

Officers from the Bribery Commission arrested a Deputy Commissioner and a clerk from the Department of Motor Traffic (DMT), along with a broker, for accepting a bribe.

The three individuals were allegedly soliciting a sum of Rs. 300,000 to expedite the transfer of ownership of three buses, according to a statement from the Bribery Commission.

Excellent. Hope more whistleblowers and sting operations will be conducted to nab these viruses. Once it’s done regularly similarly with spraying disinfectants, 99 percent of these viruses will disappear. So need to keep on spraying or nabbing them as the 1 percent appears occasionally.

25 years ago i worked in s big company dealing in tractor business.at that time registration fee of a tractor was RS.710/.the counter clerk at the counter a lady normally ask for RS 50/ as bribe to issue registration no without delay.some time delay even after collecting the bribe.I MET MRS.KOTAGADENIYA THE RMV CHIEF AT THAT TIME AND WAS TOLD THAT SHE HAS NO CONTROL OVER THE STAFF AS ALL HAVE COME TO WORK IN RMV FROM THE SUPPORT FROM MINISTER OF TRANSPORT AT TIME M.H.MOHMED.THIS SITUATION MAY BE STILL THERE.IT IS VERY RARE THAT AT RMV OR DMT YOU CAN GET ANY THING DONE WITHOUT GIVING BRIBE.
