COLOMBO (Daily Mirror) - The tally of dengue cases recorded for 2023 has topped the 75,000 mark, according to the Epidemiology Unit. 

As of November 27, a total of 75,377 cases have been reported in 2023, with the highest number being from the Colombo district, which stood at 15,953.

The Western Province has recorded 35,553 cases, the highest province-wise while the month of November has also logged 6,884 Dengue cases.

Health officials urge people to keep their surroundings clean and destroy mosquito breeding places in order to keep dengue at bay.
