You still can prosecute them even after resigning with concrete evidence. Anyone who resigns similarly with Gota R. SHOULD NOT BE PAID PENSION AND OTHER BENEFITS- PERIOD! If you work in a private organisation, are you entitle for bonuses of the company when you resign? No wonder the country is bleeding funds collected from taxpayers and loans. A proper review should be undertaken and only those who completed their term are entitled. Many countries are doing away with pensions and improving the EPF system and allocating special bonuses for retirement. The new government should engage professionals to look into this issue after the General Elections for all new employees only. Therefore in 65 years time onwords, pensions will be abolished.

Actually they can't face the nation when the court case appears against to them .Most of former government high ranking officers were earned good enough to them for the rest of their life time. Soon they will disappear from the island of government not take the needed.

HOWEVER, WE HAVE PLENTY OF WELL EDUCATED HONEST PEOPLE IN THE COUNTRY WHO CAN TAKE UP A IMPORTANT POSITION AND WORK TOGETHER WITH ANURA AND OR HIS TEAM. WE MUST GET MORE HONEST EDUCATED PEOPLE INTO THE PUBLIC SERVICE, WHO WANT TO SERVE THE COUNTRY AND ITS PEOPLE AND NOT POLITICIANS, LIKE SOME IN THE PAST.

That's exactly what the previous governments did; appointing family and friends in top positions. So if what the previous government did was acceptable to you, why not now? Don't stoop to such low levels. I think more than the politicians the people who aid and abet politicians to do wrong things should be identified and eleminated.
