Colombo, August 3 (Daily Mirror) - Naval and fishing communities are advised not to venture into the Arabian Sea areas due to the active south-west monsoonal conditions, the Natural Hazards Early Warning Centre of the Meteorology Department said.

While issuing a warning for strong winds and rough seas for the next 24 hours, the department said the above communities are advised not to venture into the sea areas marked in RED until further notice.

Accordingly, those who are out in the aforementioned sea regions are advised to return to the coast or move to safer areas immediately.

The fishing and naval communities are requested to be attentive to future forecasts issued by the department in this regard.
