Disciplinary action should be taken by the Health Authorities against these minor worker hooligans. There is nothing to be shocked because these minor workers are displaying their calibre by their behaviour, an unscrupulous category who should have been recruited on a temporary basis as there are no skills that they bring along with them. We see the Union Leaders are leading the rest astray who should be sent a notice of vacation of post. Today most private organisations have outsourced the minor staff category to different organisations mainly to avoid the minor staff category getting a grip on dictating terms of employment. Even in Banks sometime ago the bank management outsourced this function to private organisations. The govt should work out a plan to settle this issue otherwise the functioning of the hospitals will lead to chaos because it is playing with lives and these employees will take the upper hand over the management in the smooth funtioning at these hospitals!!!

Reminds me of the old JVP of 88 and 89 era. They believed in violence and illegal activity as solutions to problems. Burnt citizens National ID cards, killed the news readers on TV (only Rupavahini and ITN) JVP burnt SLTB buses! All to solve national problems. The safest bet is for the NPP to go their own way leaving behind the JVP that even in 2022 used arson and murder as part of their solutions to problems.

This is an absolute indiciplinary act which had to be dealt with seriously. Dr.Bellana's statement that the duties of the minor workers to be outsourced would have provoked this group. Just imagine why a group of 500 is required. Utter waste of public funds. My recommendation is to include all laboratory services, Mid wifery services etc shall also be privatised.

Dr. Bellana will sooner or later even after this find a lot of trouble with minor staff. He is saying they are nobodies and should not get allowances. And only doctors and nurses matter, he is going to suffer in the hands of minor staff, along with all the mad other doctors who support him.

Bellana seems assuming doctors are the top crust and others are not deserve self respect, but not only him even media refers as minor employees or minor staff, Bellana should not make fun out of them, Kumudesh gave good fight and a leading personality against Keheliya in fight against no quality/low quality medicine,I listened him many times in TV, he is eloquent,methodical and spoke to the point,hit the target,without antagonizing any, but bellana tried to have fun out of their failure in struggle, people can’t win all the time, especially one leader working as director of president’s office ,and doing his best to break it, the other thing even among doctors, Russian,China degree holders, are do not consider as equals, Once late prof.
