Due to low-level atmospheric disturbance, 100mm rain likely after 1p.m

Colombo, May13 (Daily Mirror) - Due to a low-level atmospheric disturbance, more than 100 mm of rain can be expected after 1 p.m. in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-Western and Uva Provinces and in the  Galle and Matara districts, the forecasting division of the National Meteorological Centre said.

They said the showery condition is expected to enhance during the next few days.

Accordingly, thundershowers will occur at several places in most provinces of the island after 1 p.m.

Meanwhile, showers may occur at a few places in the coastal areas of the Eastern and Southern Provinces during the morning.

However, misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central Provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts during the morning.
