Each rally would have costed more than 3 mil LKR or more minimum and these candidates would have wasted someone's monies on this..... For what???? To say I am best?????? Nope to safeguard their future incomes, friends and family business circles, to feedback their egos, and to ensure they can hide all their sins!!!! In return the gulibles voters and the fellas who went to these rallies mostly taking money and food.... Are made jokers on 21st.........

Anura's victory is assured whereas Sajith and Ranil are 2nd and 3rd places respectively. Sajith has a mountain to climb while Ranil will make every trick under the sun to win. As Anura claims that he will immediately dissolve parliament, there is a good chance for SJB to win the General Election as they have the best capable members to govern the country. It will be an uphill task as the President is from a different party. There will be pressure from Anura to appoint some of his party members to be included the government bench. Hope Anura jeeps to his Election pledges to bring all culprits to books and recover all the looted money. It may take considerable amount of time. However while concentrating to do this he should allow the elected government to run the country. If he gas this intention, we can see progress in about 2/3 years. Ranil should reture from politics and live a private life.

Public money is spent in all these rally . That is enough evidence to all. All these people use public money ad if they own it .. This will continue if ranil Or Sajith win..both can't win AkD will win

All four of the repeatedly mentioned presidential candidates promise "Sri Lanka is heaven on earth" (!) !!! All of them are great prophets of salvation with their proclamation of the good news that the worst negative developments, especially in the economy, will be eliminated and corruption will be "abolished"! Anura Kumara is already proclaiming the radical renewal of society and is drawing a "new era" on the horizon !!! Whether all of this can be achieved with his economic model, which is by no means that of the social market economy, remains to be seen in the next two years! We will see how many large companies will invest in his economic model and how quickly things will improve for the people! I hope that Sir Raimund Popper will not be right in the end with his statement: "the (socialist) attempt to create heaven on earth always produced hell" !!!

At the height of the economic crisis, when the presidency was offered to AKD, Sajith, SF, etc., they did not have the courage or capability to accept the responsibility. They ran away as someone was chasing to kill them. It was only Hon Ranil Wickremasinghe who had the courage, stamina, experience and vision to shoulder the onus of steering the economy out of the quagmire. If the NPP has an unusual prowess of economic management, WHY DIDN'T ANURA AND HIS TEAM ACCEPT THE RESPONSIBILITY IN 2022? Dear people, please think! I do not know the outcome of the election result on the 21. But if we do not elect Hon Ranil Wickremasinghe as the ninth president of Sri Lanka, we will go down in the world history as the most ungrateful nation in the world who would pay dearly in another 08-12 months' time. If in another country, Hon Ranil Wickremasinghe would have been venerated!

The public will have some rest from today in staying at home instead of being herded by the main parties to ensure that they could register a supporter turnout at these meetings. It is very pathetic how Anura the JVP candidate is savouring victory even before the results. It could be seen that Anura has spent substantial funds to get the crowds ( innocent public ) to the venues in buses from distant places to hoodwink the spectators in these areas. When a candidate is cocksure of his victory it is a downfall of the candidate as he is drunk with power. On the 22nd the Compass (JVP/NPP) will not know whether their symbol has given them the wrong direction and will not know how they lost the election. After that the blame game will start and the conclusion will be that the election was rigged!!!!!!
