Expecting EC to act correctly in counting, issuing final results sans malpractices: NPP



September 21 (Daily Mirror)-The National People's Power (NPP) said they were expecting the Election Commission and its officials to act correctly in the process of counting and issuing the final results without leaving room for any malpractices.

In a statement, the NPP said they trust that the police and security forces will act to maintain security at the counting centres.

The statement added that the NPP beleives that the curfew was imposed only with the objective of mantaining peace at the time of announcing the results.

It also requested the security forces to take steps to maintain peace in the country during the post-election period and requested the people to fully cooperate to maintain peace in the country.
