Colombo, November 21 (Daily Mirror) - A civil society activist has filed a Fundamental Rights petition before the Supreme Court, challenging the Election Commission's decision to hold the Parliamentary Elections on November 14.

H.M. Priyantha Herath, convenor of the 'Api Sri Lanka' organization, filed this petition, alleging that the Election Commission had failed to call for nominations and set a date for the General Elections in accordance with the provisions of the Parliamentary Elections Act.
