Fast bowling coach of the Sri Lanka cricket team, Champaka Ramanayake has resigned from his post, sources said.

He is reported to have tendered his resignation to the Sri Lanka Cricket Board.

We need fast bowlers who are aggressive.. by this i mean who can bowl bouncers targeting batsman's head or toe crushing yorkers as required and do it with a bit of a mean streak and facial expression. We have Dushmantha Chameera and Lahiru Kumara who have the pace.. Just need to instill this in their minds..Bowling length alone is not enough..Also need to develop quality swing bowlers (like what Vaas and Kulasekara did).. SL have got to keep up with the strides made by the rest of the cricket playing countries.. or else it will be difficult..

Need not send bouncers. Glenn McGrath and Richard Hadlee (both over 400 wickets) proved that decent pace with line and length and subtle variations enough. though Murali spun heavily, Rangana has more subtle variations enough to get wickets. More ways to skin a cat.

There is no point in bringing Donald or any great bowler until we improve on our physic which is very important for fast bowling. Dont eat meat and make a dharmishta samajayak. Then problem solved.
