Former Indian envoy in Sri Lanka contests Lok Sabha election from BJP

May 11 - Former Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Taranjit Singh Sandhu has joined India’s ruling BJP and is contesting the elections. After Sri Lanka, he also served in the United States.

He is a BJP candidate from the Amritsar seat and on Friday he declared his total assets worth Rs 39.92 crore, according to his poll affidavit, the NDTV reported.

Sandhu, 61, on Friday filed his nomination papers in Amritsar for the June 1 Lok Sabha polls.

According to his affidavit, Sandhu declared moveable and immovable assets owned by him and his wife to be Rs 10.88 crore and 29.04 crore, respectively.

Of course Sri Lanka is a backward country. He was aware of the ethnic problem and having one state for all. India has 28 states and each state having their priorities and booming. He was aware that North East should be one out of two states. However he couldn’t diplomatically express it.

Surely has a pending Tax file like a Noose over his neck. BJP is making use of their ED (Enforcement Directorate) as their very own political arm, to twist arms of Politicians and high profile personalities, to either join them and campaign for them, or face the full force of the ED and the Income Tax departments. Never in the history of that country has these two state establishments being made to behave in this manner. Congress also did the same, but, not to this massive and aggressive level. Even the cases already pending against you will VANISH, the moment you join the BJP.
