Four Maldivians were arrested for operating a drone camera and video-graphing the Katunayake Airport in the high-security zone last night.

Katana police arrested the suspects while operating the drone over the Katunayake airport at Daminnagahawatta area around 8 p.m without an approval.

They said a female Maldivian was also among those arrested. The suspects between 19 and 23 years will be produced in the Negombo Magistrate's Court today.(Darshana Sanjeewa)

Yes they do, they use drugs same like cigarettes but alcohol is banned because they are Muslim country.

Places like airport must be secured with parameter security which detects any un-identified flying objects and neutralizes them ASAP. please protect our airport

Well done to our security, London Gatwick and LHR still hunting drone operators who paralyzed LGW before X’mas. They closed airport for hrs and our heros carch them in couple of hrs. Great job.
