Fuel price revision: Kerosene reduced tonight

The fuel price revision took place with the price of a litre of kerosene reduced by Rs. 5, effective from tonight, the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) announced.

Accordingly, the new retail price of a litre of kerosene will be Rs. 183.

In a media release, the CPC said that there will be no price revisions for Petrol Octane 92, Petrol 95 Octane Euro 4, Lanka Auto Diesel, and Lanka Super Diesel 4 Star Euro 4.

Good. Do not reduce fuel prices. It will help the gov to get enough revenue. Also gradually get rid of all useless and loss making government institutions and reduce government staff to one third. Also look into temporary jobs given during previous governments politically and by top officials, then get rid of them as it can be used as a starting point.

Still couldn't curb the commission taken by Kanchana which was supposed to be Rs 160.00 per litre. Only managed to take back Rs 2.00 from his commission

Check and monitor the funds allocated to all government institutions. It should be the actual expenditure.
