Galle district MP returns back to SLPP after pledging support to Ranil Wickremesinghe

Colombo, August 02 (Daily Mirror) - Galle district SLPP MP Mohan Priyadarshana, who previously pledged support to Ranil Wickremesinghe during the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) politburo meeting on Monday (29), has withdrawn his decision and officially returned to the SLPP.

He was among the MPs who was of the opinion that the SLPP must support Ranil Wickremesinghe and must not field its own candidate.

Honestly, I got the reason from RW's bench. Mohan Priyadarshana had asked for a Ministerial Portfolio once Ranil becomes the President. Ranil had told that he cannot do it because suitable guys than him are lined-up.
