Gammanpila case: Extracts sent to AG

The FCID today told Court that extracts of its investigations into allegations that Udaya Gammanpila and the second suspect Sidney Jayasinghe had defrauded Australian citizen Brain Shaddik of Rs.110 million using a fraudulent Power of Attorney in 1995.

Colombo Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne postponed the case to November 25. (Shehan Chamika Silva)

He makes the biggest noise to cover up his corrupt past, hoping it will somehow go away. If he is found guilty, correct sentencing should be given like for any other normal citizen.

Based on the extracts can't the Court summon the fellow before November and deal with him once and for all. The Crime is, no doubt, proved as per the investigation.
