Gazette issued appointing Karunarathna Paranawithana as MP
Colombo, August 28 (Daily Mirror)- The Elections Commission has issued a gazette notification declaring the appointment of Karunarathna Paranawithana as a Member of Parliament to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Thalatha Athukorala.
Paranawithana functioned as a Deputy Minister in the 2015 government.
Former SJB MP Thalatha Athukorala resigned as a Member of Parliament recently and hence her seat fell vacant.
