Colombo, December 31 (Daily Mirror) - International competitive bids have been called by the government for the supply of 900,000 vials from 1 gram Merapanam vaccine used for the treatment of acute bacterial infections and 9,000 vials from 40 mg of Tenecteplase vaccine used for the prevention of deaths due to heart attacks.
Cabinet Spokesman and Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayathissa told the media that five bids have been received for this purpose, and the Standing Procurement Committee appointed by the Cabinet has recommended awarding the said procurement to M/s Genix Pharma (Pvt) Ltd of Pakistan, the lowest satisfactory responsive bidder.
Meanwhile, three bids have been received for this purpose by the Standing Procurement Committee.
Accordingly, the Minister has recommended awarding both procurements to M/s ABC Pharma Services (Pvt) Ltd, the lowest satisfactory responsive bidder.
