Grama Niladharis to end strike at midnight today

The ongoing strike and black protest week launched by the Grama Niladharis will conclude at midnight today (18), according to Nandana Ranasinghe, Co-President of the Grama Niladhari Officers' Alliance.

Ranasinghe stated that the officers will resume providing village-level services as usual until the upcoming election is completed.

He emphasised that, as Grama Niladharis also serve as election officials, they are committed to delivering public services in full compliance with election laws.
