Health Ministry reverses Covid-19 death toll in the country

The death of a 27-year-old man, which was reported this morning as a Covid-19 death, was not caused as a result of Covid-19, the Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health announced a short while ago.

Accordingly, officials have now revised the decision to include this death in the country’s COVID-19 death toll.

The official Covid-19 death toll in Sri Lanka stands at 21.

It was announced in the morning by the Ministry that a 27-year-old man who committed suicide in Wekada, Panadura on Friday (31) tested positive for Covid-19.

It also confirmed that it was the 22nd Covid-19 death in Sri Lanka.

According to Health Ministry, the PCR test conducted on him confirmed that he had contracted the Covid-19 virus. (Sheain Fernandopulle)

Yes you need to count this death as a suicide and not as Covid death. But you need Add to The count as Covid positive /infected person
