That is an absolute necessity at this hour. It is horrific to call some people minor servants and emphasise it. The health sector, like almost all the other sectors consists of team work between all those involved.

he maybe a doctor, but really dont have the brains to match...this is what happens when you become a youtube pora....a little bit more humility would have got him further...he accused the minor staff of being drug peddlers...instead of grandstanding would have been better if he got the police to do their job and catch these acts first.

@Nimal - It seems that you are also toeing the line with the Unions. Whether Doctors, Nurses or Minor staff all are Govt. servants of the Health Services with different roles depending on qualifications and experience. So what if this particular doctor calls them minor servants. Don't make a mountain of a molehill. You are deviating from the crux of the problem which is indiscipline which cannot be condoned when it comes to managing an organization. These minor staff were acting like hooligans by holding this Doctor under seige. The Govt is to be blamed for recruiting this category who do not bring any skills with them which could have been outsourced to some organization to avoid such confrontation of management and employees which is not a good phenomenon in the smooth functioning of a hospital where the lives of patients are at stake!!!!!!

NHSL has become a Paradise of the Minor-staff, any job is done for money. They use their own Three-wheelers parked within the hospital premises to transport patients who attend clinics and once discharged.

Well we can have an idea of how things will deteriorate if this jvp backed npp comes to power. Nothing has changed. Always ridden with an inferiority complex. What do minor staff want to be called? Sack the whole lot and employ private contractors just like the waste management companies in Sri Lanka.

This is really bad Minor staff of NHSL and other hospitals are engaged in many illegal activities including cannabis and sexual harassment of innocent patients ( my wife has experienced it at National Hospital in 2014) He was talking the truth

This bloke Ravi Kumudesh is a self exalted person He claims that he is a scientist, this was a disgrace to those having PhD and spent time on research to invent new theories and findings. This bloke, I iknew a radiologist, or a x ray machine operator. He is the one who aroused the trade unions of minor staff. He has a private agenda to become the additional director of health by lobbying through these trade unions I have never seen such cunning blokes, misleading the trade unions for his goals. He is a traitor, if he wants Dr Bellana to be removed , government should removed him too to have a peaceful place.

Who is this silly kumudesh to talk about removal of Dr bellana?? Kumudesh is a disgrace as he has never worked in a hospital to give service to public, but talks as he is the saviour. Chase this kumudesh from country and banish him or bury him under the ground. So at least his remainings will give soil some use.

If someone agrees to do this, it will be the end of civil service in Sri Lanka. A very bad precedent it would be. We dont agree with what he says 100%. But If he has done something wrong, first a complaint should be made to PSC.

XDo not give into the health trade Unions. Dr. Bellana must continue in his posts. Why is Anura Kumara of JVP/NPP silent? Aren't they seeking a mandate to clean up the Govt depts? Is the JVP/NPP thepart of the problem?
