Colombo, June 12 -  Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-western provinces, as well as Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle, and Matara districts are expected to experience fairly heavy showers, with some locations in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces likely to receive rainfall amounts of up to 75 mm.

In addition to the wet weather, strong winds are anticipated across several regions. The western slopes of the central hills, along with the Northern, North-central, and North-western provinces, are forecasted to experience winds reaching speeds of 40-50 kmph. 

Trincomalee, Hambantota, and Monaragala districts will also face similar windy conditions.

Furthermore, Uva province and the districts of Ampara and Batticaloa should prepare for possible showers or thundershowers in the evening or night.
