Heavy traffic in Town Hall

Traffic congestion was reported in the Town Hall area in Colombo as Deans Road has been blocked due to a protest by doctors opposite the Health Ministry.

The protest has been organized by the Medical Officers’ Association against the health authorities, who are alleged to have turned a blind eye to the issues that the Sri Lankan Health sector is grappling with.

Plan is to destroy the free health service. Even now most of the tests, medicine etc have to be bought from labs or pharmacies nearby owned by doctors.
