SLPP Presidential Candidate Namal Rajapaksa has vowed to transform the Northern Province into a leading hub within 5 years which will create hundreds of employment opportunities for the youth in the province, Namal said in a statement in Jaffna.
In his Presidential rally in the Northern Province, Namal informed the youth that it was time to step aside from the traditional politics maintained by the Tamil politicians who emphasized only of Division and separation and said it was time the Northern Province was developed to its fullest potential.
"For years, the North has been suppressed for political gains. The youth in the North and East are educated and can contribute towards it's development. Under the Namal Dakma economic vision, hundreds of jobs will be created within 5 years so that local expertise can be used to it's fullest potential," Namal said.
Under the Namal Dakma, he further said that Jaffna would be converted into a trading hub with an international airport for investors and tourists to have transport access and the local Sri Lankan products manufactured in the North will be promoted in the global market.
This will boost the export market and give an opportunity for more entrepreneurs to emerge in the North and East.
Namal said that it was now time to end the division created by the politicians between the North, East and South and all youth worked in unity to take the nation forward.
