What you fail to understand is that you were NEVER an elected President! You were simply a CARETAKER President appointed temporarily by GR. AKD is the elected President by the people of SL. Not getting the majority of votes is irrelevant. The fact that he obtained the highest percentage of votes amongst all the candidates is what matters. I see a lot of comments belittling RW and trying to make comparisons with the new President. Whilst each one has different characteristicst RW stands out among Presidents a personalty having charismatic traits who has been accepted by the International community although he did not have a mandate by the public. Going back to the year 2022 we were at a threshold of chaos in a dilemma not knowing how to solve the pressing problems of the public. Whether we like it or not he brought about solutions to the many scarcities and queues etc. although now politicians can talk the hind legs of donkeys. When everything to some extent has been restored how come that we still have scarcities of our basic food stuffs with rocketing of prices due to taxes. We expect politicians to be descent representatives who are well attired for the position they hold not act as playboys who have not understood the position vis-a-vis their counterparts of other countries.
