’I lodged first complaint against my brother’: Manusha

Colombo, January 10 (Daily Mirror)-  Claiming that he had no connections with his brother, former Foreign Employment Minister Manusha Nanaykkara said that he lodged the first complaint regarding financial frauds involving foreign employments.

Responding to a question on financial frauds committed by his brother while promising foreign employments, Nanayakkara said he lodged a police complaint soon after he came to know about the financial scams by promising foreign employments.

"There are various types of people in a family. All are not the same. I cannot take responsibility over what others do," he told the media after an event at Sirikotha.

He requested the public to lodge complaints with the police of financial frauds involving foreign employments.

"Why should I get scared? I must be scared and hide if I had done anything wrong," he said.

Manusha Nanayakkara's brother was remanded in connection with a complaint related to alleged financial fraud.
