IGP appointed to National Sports Council

Inspector General of Police C.D. Wickramaratne has been appointed as a member of the National Sports Council by Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe.

Accordingly, the IGP received the letter of appointment today from the Minister for a period of three years.

After accepting the new appointment, a discussion was held to strengthen the sports anti-corruption unit to prevent the corruption of sports through bribery, the Sports Ministry said. (DSB)

We can see another Aragalaya in Sports Council .There are too many decent sportsmen are there in the country but none of them is interested to take part because of political interference
