IRD sets requirements for Liquor License Tax Clearance, effective January 2025

The Inland Revenue Department (IRD) has informed liquor license holders to meet specific requirements when requesting Tax Clearance Certificates for license renewals, effective January 1, 2025.

In its notice, the IRD stated that the income return for the assessment year 2023/2024 should be submitted, and taxes paid according to this return.

Additionally, Self-Assessment Payments for the first and second quarters of the 2024/2025 assessment year should also be completed.

For quarterly returns, those up to and including the quarter ending September 30, 2024, must be filed, with taxes paid as required. Monthly tax payments should be current at the time of requesting the Tax Clearance Certificate.

Furthermore, if registered for any other taxes, the relevant returns and payments should also be up to date.

The Tax Clearance Application for liquor license renewal is available for download on the IRD website.
