It will be like what happened in the SLMC and the ACMC. There will be a revolt.

Why is Sajith as President best for resolving the 75 year old political stagnation of Tamil speaking people? Can Sajith and ITAK arrange a press conference as soon as possible? Thanks.

They are making a big mistake by backing Sajith. The Tamils will be better off by backing the NPP

Ok then we will not vote for Sajith. We need a stop to this divisive politics.

No surprise. Was always expected. Sajith is willing to offer and promise anything to any individual or group to get their patronage.

A sound judgement considering that Ranil has the baggage of all the dregs of SLPP crooks fraudsters and humbugs while NPP has no ability to govern as seen by their team of which a Dr.Suriyapperuma came a sad last of the panelists with Harsha, Semasinghe, Bandara each from the SJB, Ind-Ranil and SLPP respectively at the recent debate organised by the Chamber of Commerce. The voting was Harsha Semasinghe Bandara and Suriyapperuma on that order, and the ineptitude of the NPP was obvious with vague ideas.

This must have been your own votes in dreamland. Dr Harshana smashed to smithereens the self proclaimed economic guru Harsha. Where is the Volkswagen and the Internet bells? NPP has a comprehensive economic policy and a strong economic team of professionals. They are a committed and hard working team. No baggage, remember bond scam? Massive $12B borrowing during Yahapalanaya? $9B of that unaccounted? They have not even come out with a policy document yet, after being in opposition for 5 years. Please don’t write garbage.

Still a free country but then if NPP comes in - who knows. So we are entitled to our own opinions for the time being. Only just to say the your statement that SJB have not even come out with a policy document yet, is contrary to fact that we discussing the SJB manifesto in these columns. Hope other comments are not that erronous.

Dr.Harshana could not even respond to Dr.Harsha's simple question. Leave alone smashing to smithereens. Dr.Harshana was reading out form a written script and could go no further

ITAK becomes a joke. Their leader already extended his support to the independent Tamil candidate Ariyam. Seems splits are foreseen in the ITAK.

Unanimous amongst how many? Mavai, Srithran and a few other seniors haven't attended the five-hour meeting. By the way, who are the second and third preferences? I hope AKD is the second and Namal third.

AKD should be the first,Can you believe a man who is saying that he is stopping the practice of changing parties by the M Ps while keeping Dilan and GL by his side.

Excellent. However until and unless there are two states in one country, there could be skirmishes. The UK IS THE MOTHER OF PARLIAMENTS. They have FOUR states in one UNITED KINGDOM. Just follow UK for peace. If the UK allows visa free entry to the Sri Lankans, 90% of Sri Lankans will rush over to the UK.

That is a very good decision. Unlike Gajendrakumar and Vigneswaran, who are Rajapaksa slaves, Sumanthiran and the team have made the correct decision, considering Tamil's issues. Gajendrakuman and Vigneswaran have done the same as Prabaharan did, taking money from Mahinda. How much did these two get from whom?

A very bad decision. Sumanthiran is a crooked politician and has been observed to be more of a SJB than a ITAK. I can take a 200 % bet that Sajith is a big coward who cannot solve the national question. Tamils be aware and don't listen to ITAK which has been not been serving tamil interests properly for past 76 years. This decision will only help Sumanthiran family to prosper.

Decision was made at the kitchen table of Mr.Sumanthiran's house. There was no leader of the party or ex.leader. Most of the central committee were not informed. Handful of Mr.Sumanthiran's supporters were presented there.Sumanthiran doesn't want to support a Tamil candidate because he has to operate his business from Colombo. Selfish politician.

Sumathiran is the RW of the north. So take it whatever way one wants. He will be more keen about his personal ambitions. Having said that, ITAK has the right to choose whom they want to join. Personally, I don’t believe the decision is based on the interest of the people in the N

You are stupid Mariyanayagam. Sajith will not be able to help Tamils because he doesn't have strong leadership skills and bold. Colombo 7 Tamils will vote for him to serve their corrupt lifestyle but never the Tamils outside Colombo 7.
