Indian team arrives in Sri Lanka for white-ball tour



Gautam Gambhir was leading the way as Team India landed in Sri Lanka ahead of the 3-match T20I series. The Suryakumar Yadav-led side will play the series starting July 27, which will go on until July 30.

Team India has landed in Sri Lanka ahead of the 3-match T20I series. Team India's newly-appointed head coach Gautam Gambhir led the Indian contingent as they landed in the island nation. They received a warm welcome at the team hotel in Pallekele. The entire squad had donned the team kit as they reached from Mumbai to Sri Lanka. 

Team India will play 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs against Sri Lanka on the tour. This will be Gambhir's first assignment as Team India head coach as he will look to kickstart his tenure on a winning note.

The T20I squad with captain Suryakumar Yadav and star players like Hardik Pandya, Shubman Gill and other squad members arrived in Sri Lanka as the T20I series will begin ahead of the ODI series. The T20Is will kickstart from July 27 and will go on until July 30th and all the matches will be played at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.

The ODI series will begin from August 2nd and will go on until August 7 and the venue for all the three matches will be R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

When will Rohit-Virat arrive in Sri Lanka?

The likes of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and other ODI players will join the squad in Sri Lanka later on. (indiatoday)
