Intelligence services warn government on NPP’s tri-forces forum, overseas Sri Lankans a threat: Anura Kumara

Colombo, August 4 (Daily Mirror)- The state intelligence services have warned the government in its recent report that overseas Sri Lankans and the Retired Tri-Forces Forum of the National People's Power (NPP) have been the influential factors in the NPP's victory, NPP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake said today.

Speaking at a convention of the NPP's tri-forces forum in Colombo, he said the intelligence services in their report have requested the government to look into the matter.

He said the report has stated that the revival of the overseas Sri Lankans and organisation of the retired military personnel are two factors which cannot prevent the victory of the NPP.

Dissanayake said however, the retired military personnel have come stronger in securing NPP's victory.
