Japan to resume projects in Sri Lanka

Colombo, June 28 (Daily Mirror) - The Japanese Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Misukoshi Hideki, said that Japan will promptly resume its projects in Sri Lanka that were previously halted, once the related MoUs are signed.

During a media conference held in Colombo today (28), Ambassador to Misukoshi Hideki stated that Sri Lanka has expressed its appreciation for the debt restructuring agreements signed with bilateral creditors.

After the Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) related to these agreements are signed, Japan will promptly resume its halted projects in Sri Lanka.

The Ambassador also mentioned that Japan will provide continuous support for the recovery of Sri Lanka's economy.

No restructuring process works when it comes to debt issue, therefore, China should come forward to repay IMF loans to proceed with fruitful development independently with the AID of China alone, sending back INDIA to their own destination sans any involvement in Sri Lanka.

Japan demands all money they give for project be for Japan company to do the project. They do not want local company becoming main contractor only Japan company allowed for that. And A most of the projects when looked at by COPE or COFP of Parliament were found that came be done at 1/2 or less cost if done by local company instead of by Japan company. Major scam going on.
