Japan wants Sri Lanka to settle initial part spent on LRT project
Colombo, Jan 14 (Daily Mirror) - Japanese Minister of Finance Shun’ichi Suzuki and his delegation informed Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa and SJB MPs that Sri Lanka should settle the amount which it has already spent on the initial part of the LRT project before its cancellation, SJB MP Harsha De Silva said.
The visiting Japanese Minister had wanted the completion of the debt restructure.
He had also said Sri Lanka should not jeopardise the IMF programme.

Japan thinks SL works exactly like Japan, efficiently, ethically with right people in right positions, devoid of corruption, have decent and well educated politicians with national interest in mind (no parasites jumping from one party to the other), people with very strong work ethics etc etc. These morons in SL are, and will always be, the opposite. SL becoming like Japan is a very very very distant dream and will never see the light of the day.

This compensation to LRT should be by forfeiting Rajapakse properties because it was they who decided to suddenly kick out Japan despite much work already done by them on the instigation of China. As we all know, Rajapakse's were bootlickers of China and received enormous personal payments for this kind of activity.

LRT was stopped by Gotta on wrong advices of some important people Including the Secatary of the housing and urban development , the deputy minister Indika . The main reason that the Japanese don't pay commission to this people. The claims must be settle by the responsible people not the Tax payers money.

Gotabaya has received a substantial amount from China, and ordered to cease this project without giving any credible reason. The relationship between the island nation and Japan has deteriorated as a result of this. Additionally, the public have lost the opportunity to profit from this worthwhile project. Had this occurred in a civilized nation, Gota would have been put in jail for this treason.
